Historistage is an Augmented Reality experience designed for heritage sites, theatres, and museums, enhancing visitors' engagement with history. It combines a beautifully crafted tactile physical model with dynamic AR content accessed through a smartphone scan. By revealing lost architectural elements and hidden stories, Historistage offers immersive snapshots into the past through layered narratives and 3D animation. Developed through the Heritage XR programme in collaboration with Brighton Dome, Brighton Festival, and Digital Catapult, the project brings historical spaces to life in innovative and emotionally resonant ways.
