Body Haptics - Wearable
Borderline
Border Line is a modular necklace designed to alert the wearer of alternative urban boundaries through vibrations and light. Urban boundary data is submitted by users and collected on a networked platform. Inspired by the urban boundaries that exist in the city, for example, physical boundaries, visual boundaries, and material boundaries. There are spaces in the city that retain traces of the past but have diminished over time. The project examines re-experiencing the city's boundaries. For the project, the site chosen was the Brunswick Square Park in London. This site was originally the Fondling Hospital, but only a portion remains; the rest is a public garden.
